This how-to will show you how to switch from a Wi-Fi to a network connection on your ViewSonic TV
The most recent update to the TV's is causing them to shut off several times during the day. Here is a fix that ViewSonic sent us to try.
On the TV go to Settings in your apps
Click Preference
Click Startup & Shutdown
Click ECO Mode (Look for the Energy Star) & click it OFF
If your board keeps dropping the cast from laptop make sure that the board is cnonected physically to the network.
You should have received a long black internet (CAT 5) cable with your TV. Plug it in to the back of TV and to the wall Internet outlet.
Click the Home button on your TV.
Click the network icon in lower left corner.
Click Ethernet connection and toggle to ON.
Click the DCHP option and wait a few seconds until it grabs a IP address.
You can now try to connect your tv again via cast sender.
If have a bad lag in connection between laptop and TV.
Follow the steps in the previous troubleshooting section for DROPS CAST CODE
If this doesn't fix the problem, check the Docking Station and make sure the power is connected.
If you are trying to show a video from the internet and it will show on your laptop but not on your TV, you will need to connect an HDMI cable.
You will need an HDMI Cable that has the rounded edge on both sides (the district does NOT provide these but you can obtain from walmart or internet)
Plug the HDMI Cable into the laptop and to the TV Output HDMI IN 1 or HDMI In 2
On your TV remote Press the INPUT button (just above the red ALT button) and select the HDMI input that you chose in step 2.
Your video should now be playing on the TV
If you have unplugged your laptop and then connected again but the monitor won't come on.
Unplug the power cable from the docking station and reconnect
Press the power button on the docking station

NOTE*** A dual monitor is simply an extension of your main monitor giving you more workspace.
To adjust the dual monitors so that your mouse slides to the correct side of screen follow these steps:
Right click in an open space on the laptop screen
Click Display Settings
You can click the Identify button to see what number each screen is identified as.
Your laptop should be 1 and the external monitor should be 2.
To change the side you want the monitor 2 located just click on the icon and drag it to the side you want. (Example, if you want your external monitor on the left side of your desk, then drag icon 2 to the left of icon 1.
If you are having sound issues here are some things to check:
Click the speaker icon in the bottom right corner & click the arrow above the volume. Change to speakers.
Right click the sound icon in the bottom right corner & select Open Sound Settings.. Make sure the output is on speakers/headphones if you want the sound through the TV.
For microphone - scroll on down to input & select microphone from the drop down menu.
If it is sound in Google Meet not working- try clicking the 3 dots in the bottom of the Meet window, then settings & change to Realtek Microphone.
If you are having issues with your computer microphone not working, here are some things to check:
While in Google Meet, go to settings.
Under Audio, select Microphone and choose Microphone Array. ** If the sound is working, the blue dots on the right side will move as you talk.
