Thanks to Coach Carl Owens & our awesome Barren Co. Administartion, our golf program started a Middle School golf team in 2024. In its first year, there were over 15 Middle School golfers. Our coaching staff feel its imperative to develop and maintain a "feeder program" for our High School golf program. This also gives our young golfers the opportunity to practice as a team, improve at a faster rate & prepare them for the future.

HEAD COACHES OF THE SOUTH CENTRAL CONFERENCE

The South Central Conference was started in 2023 by Conference President Coach Craig Pippen. Conference play adds more interest for the 8 teams competing. We now have something to play for instead of just adding matches. Each school plays 7 season matches followed by a tournament.

2025 HIGHLIGHT REEL

The 2024 golf season was a special one for the Barren County Trojans. The Trojans finished 2ND in conference play with a record of 5-2. In post season play, the Trojans captured the SCC Conference Tournament Championship. Braeden Furlong was Individual Champion & Cameron Pippen was Individual Runner-up.

The Trojans went on and captured the 15TH District Championship by defeating Allen Co. Scottsville, Warren East & cross town rival Glasgow. Cameron Pippen was the District's Individual Champion.

PROGRAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

For the first time in program history, the Trojans captured both the 2024 SCC Conference Championship & the 15TH District Championship in the same season. The future looks bright with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

This years awards banquet was held at Willow Oaks. The day started out with a 9 hole "Father/Son Scramble." Each team consisted of 2 parents & 2 Trojan Golfers. After the scramble, Coach Pippen honored each team member for their dedication this past season.

2026 CHAMPIONS CUP SERIES

The Barren County Trojan & Glasgow Scottie golf programs are teaming up to host the State of Kentucky's only in-season 2 day event. This unique event will feature the Trojan Cup on Monday - July 20 and the Scottie Cup on Tuesday - July 21 @ Willow Oaks Country Club. This years event will feature 20 high school teams competing for both cups. The Trojan & Scottie golf programs would like to thank "South Central Bank" for being its proud sponsor.

FORMER COACH - KELLY TAYLOR

Coach Kelly Taylor coached the Barren County Trojans from 2017-2022. He did an outstanding job managing the program and teaching his golfers swing mechanics and course management skills. Coach Taylor retired from coaching in 2022 to spend more time with his family. Thank you Coach Taylor for all your time and hardwork! You will always be a part of Trojan Golf.

FORMER ASSISTANT COACH - EDDIE FURLONG

Coach Eddie Furlong was an assistant coach for former Head Coach Kelly Taylor from 2019-2022 and also was an assistant coach for current Head Coach Craig Pippen from 2023-2024. Coach Furlong played an important role in the success of the Trojan Golf program. Coach Furlong will spend most of his time watching his son Braeden play college golf these next 4 years at Campbellsville University. Thank you Coach Furlong for all your time and hardwork! You will always be a part of Trojan Golf.
