The following expectations apply during yellow and red modes of instruction:
YELLOW/RED:
MS/HS teachers will take attendance at the end of each class period.
Elementary (RED): Teachers will take attendance after daily check-in with students.
Parents/Guardians of students who are unable to log in to Google Classroom on any school day must notify the school with the reason for the student's absence within 24 hours of the absence.
Teachers will inform students of when classroom work is due.
The following expectations for late student work apply during yellow and red modes of instruction:
Excused Absence --- It is the responsibility of the student to check with the teacher(s) for make-up assignments. The allotted time for make-up is the number of day(s) absence plus one. Teachers may extend the time if unusual circumstances exist. Alternative assignments may be given to a student for class activities missed which cannot be made up. When a student is aware of the date an assignment is due, and this due date is during the absent period or on the day that the student returns to school, the assignment is due on the first day that the student returns to school.
Unexcused Absence --- Students are entitled to make up any work missed. However, the student will receive a grade of "0" for any work missed because of an unexcused absence.
Please be in communication with your child's teacher if you have any questions about assignment due dates
Schedules and routines help provide students with consistency. Finding a schedule that works for your family can be beneficial during this time. Khan Academy provides sample schedules for students K-12 located HERE if you are interested.
MS/HS students will follow the Virtual Bell Schedule linked HERE.
All teachers can be contacted via email. A copy of the staff directory can be found HERE.
Our elementary teachers will post announcements within SeeSaw (K-2) or Google Classroom (3-5) including an explanation of activities, clarification of when assignments should be completed and/or submitted, and directions on how to find helpful resources.
Students in grades 6-12 will log in to Google Classroom to find their daily assignments, as well as resources that will help guide and support their learning. Teachers will also be posting daily assignments to Harmony.
For class specific questions, please check with your classroom teacher first for help.
If your teacher is unable to help resolve the issue or you are having a technical issue, please fill out an eLearning Support Ticket.
If you do not have access to internet at home, please alert your child's teacher or building level principal that you are not able to do learning online. We will work with you towards finding a solution.
Contact your child's classroom teacher. A directory is available HERE.
Special Education, Title I, and Speech teachers are continuing to work with classroom teachers in preparing lesson resources and available to support their students. If your child receives services and you would like to contact his/her teacher, please use the servicing teacher's email.
