Preparing for the Future.
The proposed operating referendum renewal would allow Barr-Reeve Schools to continue investing in students while preparing for the future.
The proposed operating referendum renewal would allow Barr-Reeve Schools to continue investing in students while preparing for the future.
For more than a decade, Barr-Reeve voters have invested in opportunities for students through operating referendums. The proposed renewal would continue support for programs and services valued by our community.
From the Superintendent:
For more than a decade, Barr-Reeve voters have invested in opportunities for students through operating referendums. Thanks to that support, Barr-Reeve has been able to maintain small class sizes, provide safety and mental health resources, offer elementary music and physical education, and support athletics and extracurricular activities.
Today, Barr-Reeve is recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School District, an Indiana Four Star School District, a Ready Schools District, and a Performance Qualified School District.
As we look ahead, we face new challenges. Inflation continues to increase costs, and recent changes to Indiana's property tax laws are expected to reduce future revenue growth for schools.
The current operating referendum expires in 2028. The proposed renewal would allow Barr-Reeve to continue investing in students while preparing for the future.
We encourage you to explore the information provided and contact us with any questions. Thank you for your support!
