We, The Baronage of Hawkwood, issue an A&S challenge to the populace: Festive Scroll Blanks! These can be for any Hawkwood Award, and in ANY MEDIUM (parchment, leather, bone, cake, macaroni pictures, the sky is the limit). Submissions can be sent in physical form (ask for address) or as a picture to Baroness@baronyofhawkwood.org or Baron@baronyofhawkwood.org and will be posted here and on the book of faces the day of the event!

We had one challenger and two entries! Both of these lovely scrolls were done by H.Lady Lucrezia sarta di Napoli:
The Order of the Silver Hawk scroll is based on several 15th and 16th century scrolls. It is painted on Bristol Strathmore paper.
The body of the work is painted with Windsor Newton Gouache paints. The accents are Coliro Pearlcolors by Finetec Made in Germany, gold and silver paints.
Calligraphy is Uncial in my own hand. It is done with a Shaeffer cartridge pen. The ink is black.
The Order of the Golden Moon scroll is based on a Book of Hours believed to be from Ghent between the years of 1450-1455
It is painted on Bristol Strathmore Smooth paper. The body of the illumination is painted with Windsor Newton Gouache paints. The accents are Coliro Perlcolors by Finetec, Made in Germany, gold and silver paints.
Calligraphy is Uncial and done with a Shaeffer cartridge pen. The ink is black.
