During their three weeks in each Home Base city, Baret Scholars participate in The Morning Program, a unique and academically enriching daily conference designed to be the backbone of their gap year experience. As we journey around the world, spending a month in each region—North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, and China—this program serves as their intellectual wellspring. We feature expert speakers, thinkers, performing artists, and leaders who will foster our Scholars' curiosity and inculcate a genuine appreciation of the regions they are exploring. The Morning Program draws inspiration from platforms like TED, MasterClass, and 60 Minutes. Our goal is to elevate awareness beyond popular culture and superficial exploration toward a humble and passionate curiosity about the complexity of each region.
Our guest speakers are an international community world-renowned educators, artists, thought leaders and performers with a wealth of experience and expertise in diverse fields. Their insights will not only broaden students’ perspectives, but also inspire them to become informed citizens and contribute to building a better tomorrow.
