Welcome to our classroom family! This year may look quite different, but we are all in this together. Every year, I have a different name for my class (last year's class was "Future Leaders"). This year our class will be....drum roll please....WORLD CHANGERS! I think with all the negativity we are seeing happen in the world right now, we need to teach our kids that positive change for our world lies within each of them. One of my favorite mottoes is: "Be the Change You Wish to See in the World." So I can't wait to see how our 4th grade World Changers will make an impact in this world!

A little about me: This will be my 20th year of teaching fourth grade at Bardstown Elementary. I LOVE fourth grade! I received my Bachelor's Degree from EKU, my Master's Degree from WKU, and my Rank One from University of the Cumberlands.

A Little More About Mrs. Mudd
I have been married to my husband, Kyle, since 2005. We have a son named Lucas and a daughter named Meredith, both are here in the Bardstown school district. I also have a little Yorkie-poo named Luv. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy listening to music, reading on my patio, doing Bible studies, consignment shopping, and spending time with my family.

A few of my passions are orphan care, (I go on annual trips to Haiti to visit some very sweet kids whom I LOVE), helping kids reach their highest potential, finding old things and making them look new or giving them a new "purpose."

Hi! My name is Cheryl Burks. I am a senior at Asbury University and will be a student teacher in Mrs. Mudd’s class. I have taught preschool for over 20 years in Northern Indiana and Louisville. I decided to get my bachelor’s in elementary education when my oldest son graduated from college.
