Comcast: Internet essentials is a program that allows students, or low-income families to obtain access to internet at an affordable cost. Just $9.99 a month!
To sign up, applicants can simply visit www.internetessentials.com. You can also call: 1-855-846-8376 for English and 1-855-765-6995 for Spanish. (Chicopee residents are not eligible for this program).
Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP): The ACP is a federal government program that provides a benefit on home internet service for eligible households, decreasing your bill by up to $30/mo. For eligibility and applications visit the site: NV Flow - Lifeline National Verifier (fcc.gov)
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)/Fuel Assistance: Fuel Assistance helps eligible households challenged by the high cost of home heating fuel pay a portion of their winter heating bills. This program provides assistance through a fixed benefit amount for the cost of primary heat source. Wayfinders: This organization has a program that has small funding for utility cost. The program is called RAFT. To be eligible for emergency funding you must have a utility shut off notice. Eversource Discount Electric Program: Eversource has a discount electric rate program available to low-income customers (This can be combined with Fuel Assistance Programs) you must fill out the application and return it to Eversource by mail or by Fax. Eligibility Requirements are proof of receiving any of the following: Mass Health, TAFDC, SSI, WIC, SNAP/ Food Stamps, Head Start, Subsidized or Public housing, Chapter 115 Veterans Benefits.
