. . . About the teacher . . .

This will be my 8th year teaching math, and I love it! I look forward to getting to know my new students and their families this school year.

Ever since I took Pre-Calculus in high school, I knew that teaching math was what I wanted to do. I earned my Bachelor's in Education from Kent State University, and began substitute teaching at Barberton High School shortly after graduation. After a couple years teaching at a K-12 private school, I was thrilled to return to Barberton full time and have really enjoyed teaching here for the last five years.

When I am not teaching, I love traveling with my husband and our dog, Hank. We are also excited to be welcoming our first child this fall! I am confident my students will be in good hands with my long-term substitute and I look forward to teaching them again when I return later this school year.
