About me....
I have been teaching in the Barberton City Schools since graduating from the University of Akron in 1996. I began in Head Start and was then hired as a tutor at Santrock. After 1 year of tutoring, I was hired as a classroom teacher. I returned to the University of Akron and received my Masters' degree in 2002.
On a personal note, my husband and I have 2 children. I enjoy spending time with my family and playing with our dogs. One of my favorite things to do is watch my own children compete in their after school sports. I also enjoy reading in my spare time.
I look forward to working with you and your child this year. My favorite thing about teaching is watching children learn to read. It is very exciting to watch them progress and pick up a book and begin reading. I hope that you will be an active part of your child's education. You are their first and most important teacher!
