Meet Mrs. DeCola

My name is Mrs. DeCola and I have been working in Education for 20 years. This is my eighth year working in Barberton, and my 6th year at Barberton Elementary East. I am also an ESL and Reading Endorsed Teacher. I taught in Los Angeles Unified School District for 10 years, then moved back home to Akron to raise our family in the Buckeye State. I have been married for 19 years, and am the proud parent of three kids who keep me busy, Sofia 14, Mateo 11, Brando 3, and our fur-babies Tango and Princess! My family and I enjoy cooking, eating, traveling, snorkeling, scuba diving, walks, bike riding, and going to lots of soccer games and dance recitals! I love teaching because learning is just as exciting for me as it is the children. My passion is motivating children to do their very best, then go a little further! My goal this year is to ensure every learner in my class falls in love with reading!
