KA 229: FOOD CONNECTING PEOPLE 2019-2022

Aims: The project aims to support KA2: Food connecting people on the exchange of good practices. Pupils become sentitised for healthy food choices & internalise a sustainable lifestyle working on the topic. So, we combine the contexts of health, sustainability, culture & personal identity.

About the project: Food - a topic with the power to connect people. Whether it be at a dinner table or at a business lunch of international colleagues, it can bridge cultural differences in a second. Moreover , food is part of the cultural heritage. Each country in our E+ project makes an individual contribution, offering culinary specialities related to national traditions. The German "region of delight" Upper Franconia (location of coordinating school) was awarded by the UNESCO label "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Hummanity". Our partner schools in Italy & Spain are situated in Mediterranean areas whose diet was also given this title, stressing the cultural importance of food. Also, healthy eating habits and environmental issues remain relevant in times of increasing sedentary activities in our students' lives. In our project we are going to investigates those aspects and hopefully make our students enjoy working on this broad topic.
