Introduction to Programming

Introduction to Programming (I2P) is a renamed and improved version of Exploring Computer Science. This class is divided into two semesters. First semester focuses on Scratch while Introducing Blender and Python. Second semester focuses on HTML, CSS and introduces Java Script and drones. Both semesters include an exciting robotics unit. If you are planning to take the Advanced Placement Computer Science it is recommended that you take both first and second semester.

I2P 1st Semester Covers:

Programming (using Scratch)
Computer Hardware and Software
Problem Solving (binary, search, sort, and more)
Introduction to Blender (3D Animation tool)
Introduction to Python (Text based programming language)
Introduction to Robotics (Lego Mindstorms)

ECS II Covers:

Intro to Web Design (HTLM 5, CSS 3, JS 5)
Online ethics and safety
Big Data
Robotics Challenges (Lego Mindstorms & Ollie)
Drone Activities
