BSD School Board Policy 343.7 Online Learning Activities & District Online Courses
Requests for online course enrollment and full-time online learning options will be processed on a first-come, first-served and priority basis. All placements are contingent upon space and finances being available to support online requests.
Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, a full-time virtual option will be available through our consortium partnership
with the Rural Virtual Academy.
Families currently enrolled in-person, may contact Marcie Gratz, the new Virtual and Workforce Coordinator at mgratz@barabooschools.net.

One or two online courses to supplement your in-person schedule
Which Supplemental model is right for you?
On-Site: Work on your online course during the school day in the Library Media Center at BHS
Enriched Virtual: Earn a release from a block/period at BHS to complete your online course from home
Off-Site: Take a full schedule at BHS with one online course completed at home on your own time (a total of 9 classes per semester)
Enroll in one or two online courses for new credit

Students in grades 9-11 can register for 1 or 2 online courses for new credit and can complete this course from home during our 8-week online summer term:
No Summer options available in 2026
Students in need of credit recovery for English or math should discuss on-site summer school options with a school counselor. Credit recovery is NOT available in the online option from home.
