Mrs. Henke

WELCOME

Welcome to second grade! My name is Mrs. Henke! This will be my 9th year of teaching and my 4th year at Baraboo School District! I taught in Reedsburg for my first five years. I spent three years teaching 4th Grade there, and my last two years there teaching 5th Grade. Then, for the last three years I have taught Second Grade in Baraboo, and I have absolutely loved it! Every year is an adventure, and I am looking forward to getting to know, and be a part of our awesome school family here again ☺

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Baraboo. After I graduated high school, I attended UWBaraboo/Sauk County, and discovered my passion for teaching while working at Boys and Girls Club. Then, I finished my degree at UW-Eau Claire, where I also met my now husband, Tyler. Together, we spent a few summers as camp directors at the YMCA, and eventually moved back here to teach. 

A couple of years ago we got our not-so-little-anymore, dog,  Jack.   On September 22nd, of 2023, we got married and officially became Mr. and Mrs. Henke! Then, this summer we moved to Prairie Du Sac where my husband used to teach (he works in Madison now), but still continues to coach high school wrestling there.
