ESOL Reporting

Along with classroom reports we also look at how our ESOL students progress with their English language in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.  These are checked twice per year in Term 2 and Term 4.

We use a tool called English Language Learning Progressions (ELLP's) to assess this progress specifically for students who speak more than one language.  This allows us to see both what they have achieved and what their next learning steps are in each of the four areas.

This year we are offering appointments to discuss the progress your child has made and what their next steps are on their language journey.
