Hunting decoys impacted economic activity, employment, and household income. ”An individual may purchase decoys to use while duck hunting. Part of the purchase price will stay with the local retailer. The local retailer, in turn , pays a wholesaler who in turn pays the manufacturer of the decoys. The manufacturer then spends a portion of this income to pay businesses supplying the manufacturer” (Carver). The evidence is saying that when a consumer buys a decoys it ripples in the economy. Later in the source it also states that that thousands of jobs were created in the U.S., and that state and federal tax revenue increased by $200 million. This is important because it helps explain that the economy thrived from decoys. This survey was conducted in 2011 by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
