Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year

Hello!  My name is Diane Weisse.  

This is my twenty-ninth year teaching at Bangor Elementary School. It is my fourth year as Title 1 Teacher and District Reading Specialist.  I taught second grade for twenty years and Title One Reading here in Bangor for two years.  I also taught first grade in Stavanger, Norway, where I lived and worked for three years.  

My teaching background includes degrees in Elementary Education, Reading Teacher, Reading Specialist, and a degree in Mathematics.  I truly enjoy teaching all readers and working with children in this community.  

I have three children of my own.  My oldest daughter lives in Hawaii with her husband and two sons.  My son and his wife and their daughter live in LaCrosse. My youngest daughter, Estella is 17 years old.

In addition to teaching, reading and working with your children, I also enjoy spending time with my family.  We enjoy traveling, biking, swimming, kayaking, reading and hiking.
