Now it is more equal from before because Jackie broke the color barrier
“As of Opening Day, MLB rosters remained among the most diverse in all of professional sports, with 40.34% of overall rosters (including the injured list, suspension and restricted lists) coming from diverse backgrounds -- a 2.34% increase from a year earlier” (MLB).
’’Once on the team, the racial segregation in the MLB began to come to an end. Jackie Robinson went on to win many different achievements. He was the first African American to win batting title, to win Most Valuable Player, and to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame’’ (The Great Influence of Jackie Robinson).
The racial diversity is may more allowing because of jackie breaking the color line. Now more people of different races can play baseball. There are now more African Americans playing baseball to support the struggles Jackie Robinson went through to be able to let people play baseball in the MLB. asian and hispanic people also can play because jackie broke the color barrier.baseball is also a big thing in japan/the caribbean and central/south america. People now are eligible to play in the MLB.
racial segragation was coming to an end beacasue jackie had broken the color line by playing baseball.it was also changing because when jackie did break the color line the were many of the other races joining baseball.
