IBA Marching Band Affairs Meeting Monday, October 25th, 2021 4:00 PM

To eliminate the stress of field entrance and exit in accordance with a 15-minute time- limit, the Marching Band Affairs Committee in conjunction with Mr. Alan Greiner is recommending the removal of the 15-minute maximum time-limit. In addition, band props and frontline equipment will be allowed to enter the performance area immediately after the preceding band has exited.

Marching and Maneuvering Execution and General Effect verbiage changed to “Visual Execution” and “Visual General Effect.”

We voiced concern and importance over creating a “cold weather index” to match our current heat index.

8-man field bands go first, preceding the judges break, with the following ideas:

• Painters tape on the field for the hashes
  

• Movement of the yard markers to match the 8-man field specifications
  

• Site managers will need verbiage to direct them of any changes made
  

• New classifications needed upon registration on the state website
