Welcome to 4th grade!

I am looking forward to having a safe and FANTASTIC year!

My classroom is an environment of honesty, trust, and thoughtful interactions between students, teachers, and parents. I encourage open communication with my parents at all times. They can come to me directly with questions, concerns, or to check on their child’s progress. My roots here run deep. I raised my son here and sent him to school here. I’ve been president of the PTO at Alkek, worked as a PEIMS clerk and teacher's aide at Alkek, operated a small business in Bandera, substitute taught at every campus, and now have taught 14 years at Hill Country. I know the school system here inside and out, and I know that Bandera is my home. We work together every day to build a solid foundation not just of textbook education, but of life skills to help my students leave empowered intellectually and emotionally so they’re prepared to face the next chapter of their lives. I am honored to be your child's 4th grade teacher!
