Selection Process
Applications must be approved by the campus principal upon validation that the needs for the project are consistent with campus goals.
Applications will be reviewed by the Grant Review Committee made up of the following members:
a. A minimum of five Foundation Directors appointed by the President of the Foundation or Grant Committee Chairperson
b. Two BISD staff members selected by the Superintendent
c. Others determined by the Foundation Directors
For each grant application submitted, the committee shall make one of the following recommendations: (a) approval; (b) approval with conditions/modifications; (c) disapproval with suggestions for improvement.
If recommended by the Grant Review Committee, the application is presented to the Board of Directors of the Foundation for review and approval.
If approved by the Foundation Board of Directors, the application is presented to the BISD School Board for formal acceptance of the grant.
