Additionally, Cruise has a detailed video guide for first responders on how to safely interact with Cruise AVs, whether there is a driver in the vehicle or not. Emergency Response Guides - NHTSA portal with Standardized Emergency Response Information for Electric-Powered Vehicles - "Vehicle manufacturers submit emergency response guides and rescue sheets to NHTSA for covered electric-powered passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles, trucks and buses. This provides first and second responders access to information regarding the safe handling of battery-, hybrid-, and fuel cell electric vehicles in emergencies and for towing and storing operations."
