Hi! My name is Karisa Faber. I am excited to be teaching 1st grade at Ballard West! My husband Rob and I have 3 children- Ava, Kenlee, and Chase. They keep us busy with all of their activities. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling to warm places, and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes!

I started teaching full-time at Ballard West in 2023 after subbing full-time within the district for 4 years. I have a business degree from the University of Iowa and worked in insurance for a number of years before realizing my passion for teaching through training in my profession and coaching and teaching youth classes in the community.
