A Wicked History, Alexander The Great: Master of the Ancient World is a historical fiction book written by Doug Wilhelm. This book explores Alexander's life, including his successes, setbacks, battles, and alliances. Something excellent about this book is that there are many photographs, maps, and timelines included in the book that illustrate major places and events. I would give this book's vocabulary a 2 out of 5 rating because, while most of the vocabulary isn't too tough to understand, there are a few words that can be. I gave this book a 3 out of 5 altogether since I like it but I'm not really interested in historical fiction. Therefore, I would suggest this book to everyone who likes historical fiction. (Sean. Alexander the Great by Doug Wilhelm is a historical fiction book but it also has a few mixed genres as it is also a Biography and a non-fiction book although all together I would say a biography as it talks about the life or Alexander the Great and his victories and defeat as well as his family and friends not to forget his enemies. In this book you get to learn how he faced crime and challenges such as wars through out his life, in my opinion the best part of this book is that here are many visuals to help you through out his life such as maps, timelines, and pictures that represent important events. If you want to go deeper in the reading and quiz your self in each chapter there are a few guiding questions. I would recommend this book to anyone who like biographies with many pictures and visuals. (Elsa. Grade 7).

The book Alexander the Great; Master of the Ancient World, is a mixed genre type of book. The genres include Historical, non-fiction, and Biography, but if you were to narrow it down to the main genre, it would be Biography because this book talks about the past life of Alexander the Great and his backstory (family, friends, and enemies) and how he faced crime and challenges throughout his life. The best part about this book is that there are many pictures, maps, and timelines included in the book that represent key places and events. Guiding questions are also apart of this book to help you understand and reflect more. I totally recommend this book to anyone who loves history, biographies, and many visuals. (Lilly Grade 7)
