Scarlet and Ivy the dance in the dark is written by Sophie Cleverly. The book is very mysterious and adventurous and is about two twins Scarlet and Ivy. Scarlet and Ivy have been going to Rookwood school for a few years and each year they have new mysteries to discover. This year there is a ballet recital that Scarlet would love to be in, but their ballet teacher suddenly disappeared and a new teacher comes there were freakish things that were starting to happen. Scarlet and Ivy The dance in the dark by Sophie Cleverly is a mystery and adventure book. This book is about to twins that went to rockwood school for many years. Scarlet and Ivy find out what happend to their ballerina teacher that was missing, and that included an adventure. They also tried to find out more about their dead mom (maybe dead). I recommend this book for people who like mysteries and mysterious adventures. In my opinion i recommend this book because it is very interesting and its has some scary parts in the book. Ballet had started and scarlet really wanted to be part of the play. The main role was Princess Aurora. But Ivy didn’t want to be part of the play, and scarlet was sad but it didn’t make her stop doing ballet. But she realised she was not doing good so she asked her teacher if she could do extra practice lessons. And Miss Finch said yes, Scarlet was so happy. (Emma. Grade 6)
