The book The Rag and The Bone Shop by Robert Cormier is a book about a girl who has been murdered and there is only one person, named Jason, who saw her alive last, which makes everyone think twice, including the police. He is brought in for an interrogation by the police but things take a turn for the worse. Will the truth come out? Was it Jason? I thought as I was reading the book. It really gets you hooked. It is a very interesting but short book in my opinion. The vocabulary was not as hard as I expected. Furthermore, I would recommend this book to those who enjoy reading mystery books, one that is about murder nonetheless.  (Lilly. Grade 7)

"The Rag and Bone Shop" is a book that makes you think about how we treat people who are suspected of doing something wrong. The main character is a 12-year-old boy named Jason Dorrant who is accused of killing a young girl. The story mostly happens in one day where Trent, an experienced questioner, talks to Jason in a small room with no windows.

The author, Robert Cormier, writes in a way that makes you feel uneasy because of the tension between Trent and Jason. The book's end might leave you feeling like things aren't completely finished, but it shows that people can be complicated. "The Rag and Bone Shop" is a book that might make you feel sad or thoughtful, but it will definitely make you think about how we treat each other. (Alex. Grade 8)

The mystery novel Rag and Bone Shop by Robert Cormier captures the reader's attention with the murder of a young girl named Alicia Barret. The police call in an expert interrogator, a man who always gets a confession, to question the last person to see her alive, Jason. We are left to wonder is Jason the killer? The book was really interesting because it included the thoughts of the investigator and Jason. However, the ending was quite unexpected and somewhat disturbing. Thus, I would not recommend this book to younger audiences as the content in the book may be inappropriate. Therefore, I would recommend this book to those who are looking for an easy, quick read and like mystery and crime fiction novels. (Seoyeon. Grade 8)
