‘My Sister, The Serial Killer’ by Oyinkan Braithwaite is an interesting mystery book about Nigerian sisters. The younger sister, Ayoola, has a bad habit of killing her boyfriends. This book has an interesting setting and the way that the book is written makes you keep reading the book, even though the book is long compared to other books in the recommendation, but due to the fact that I am not into mystery books, it was a little boring story to me. If you are interested in mystery or thriller this will be a great book, if you are not I think it will still be an enjoyable read.  (Youngmin. Grade 7

My Sister the Serial by Oyinkan Braithwaite is a thriller talking about a Nurse in Lagos, Nigeria, becoming very close to her younger sister. Her sister's name is Ayoola. The more attractive loved, and probably evil sister. Ayoola has killed her boyfriend with a knife for the third time in succession, supposedly out of self-defense. I recommend this book to people who like thrillers because you don't have to think twice about the genre, once you read the first sentence in this book you can already guess the genre. There are also some strong words that fit into this book like death and stab. This book is not very appropriate for younger people although it was very interesting and I enjoyed this book. My Sister the Serial Killer is an interesting mystery/thriller novel by Oyinkan Braithwaite. This book is all about Ayoola and Korede's story of covering up Ayoola's murders and Korede's concern about her getting caught. One thing I like about this book is the description of the events which includes a lot of detail and allows me to visualize the story in my head. One thing I did not like about the book, however, is that it is slightly boring. I had to make myself read it rather than enjoy it, however, it could just be me. There are worse books out there but there are better books to read. I would recommend this book to people who like mystery and thriller books at age 14 or older as it contains some slightly disturbing events and some complicated language. (James E, Grade 8)

“My Sister, the Serial Killer” by Oyinkan Braithwaite is a thrilling book filled with mystery and excitement. In this story, Korede always pulls her sister Ayoola out of her troubles. You see, Ayoola is the prettier sister but has a habit of killing her boyfriends, and Korede always pulls her out of the mess, however, when Korede's colleague from work starts dating Ayoola, something different happens. This was an exciting book that was really fast-paced and easy to read. I would recommend it for people who enjoy reading books with the genres of thriller and a bit of romance. I would recommend it for ages 11 and up because some content might not be easy for younger ages. (Nina, Grade 8)

“My Sister, the Serial Killer” by Oyinkan Braithwaite, is a fast-paced novel that I read. Ayoola is known as the prettiest of the two sisters and is known for having never-lasting boyfriends. Korede being the only one knowing about Ayoola’s bad habits of killing her boyfriends always helps to clean. Korede's colleague, Tade, falls in love with Ayoola, a physician at the hospital in which he works. In spite of Korede's warning, he doesn't back down and serious consequences follow. As a reader, I enjoyed the fast-paced book's plot twists and how fast it progressed as a whole. As this book contained a lot of inappropriate content, I would recommend it to people over the age of 13. Furthermore, I would recommend it to readers who enjoy reading thrillers and murder novels. My sister the serial killer is a novel written by Oyinkan Braithwaite. It fits best in the genre Thriller, because it involves crime. Oyinkan Braithwaite is a Nigerian-british novelist and writer. She was born in Lagos and spent most of her childhood in the UK

In my opinion it is a good book, but sometimes it is kind of boring because at the end some things keep repeating and it is not a surprise anymore what is going to happen next.

I would still recommend this for my peers, because it is not so difficult to read and it is pretty interesting at the beginning.  (Tomek, Grade 8)

“My Sister The Serial Killer” by Oyinkan Braithwaite is a thriller murder novel. This book is about the main character Korede and her sister Ayoola, who is a serial killer. Ayoola is the prettier sister, shes had many boyfriends, but they havent lasted long. Ayoola has a habit of killing her boyfriends, and Korede is always cleaning up her messes, never saying anything about her sisters murders. Korede and her sister lead very different lives, while Ayoola is an influencer and has a lavish lifestyle due to her looks and pretty privilege, Korede works at a hospital and is in love with doctor Tade, one of the doctors working there. Ayoola suddenly visits her sisters workplace and has caught the eye of doctor Tade. So when the docter asks Korede for her sisters number, she is scared for his safety. Will he and Ayoola spark a romance? Will he find out that Ayoola is a serial killer? I found this book alright. The plot of starts a bit slow, The middle of this book is very good, but the ending is very confusing. It feels like the book didnt give me any kind of closure for what happened to the characters, it just ends abruptly. I would recommend this book for anyone that likes romance mixed with a little bit of thriller. (Amerie, Grade 8)
