The book My Sister The Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite, is a realistic fiction thriller that takes place in Nigeria. The story is about two sisters, Korede and Ayoola. Ayoola is a serial killer who has the habit of killing all her boyfriends. Korede, Ayoola’s older sister works at a hospital and has a crush on a doctor. She is afraid that Ayoola will kill him too. I enjoyed reading this book as I thought that the storyline was unique and I have never read anything like this before. However, I was disappointed with the ending of the book because it was too open-ended which was confusing and difficult to understand. The vocabulary was quite challenging, therefore, I recommend this book to more advanced readers. Overall, I would recommend this book to people who like suspenseful thriller genre books with an open ending. (Seoyeon. Grade 7)

I read ‘My Sister The Serial Killer’ by Oyinkan Braithwaite. The genre of this book is a thriller. I gave this book a rating of 5 because the storyline was very interesting. Korede’s sister, Ayoola, is a serial killer who kills all of her boyfriends. Korede works in a hospital as a nurse and has a crush on a doctor, but he likes Ayoola. Korede is worried that Ayoola is going to kill her crush. It is a story that I have never seen, so it was very refreshing. However, it is a bit scary because it includes some violence but isn’t really graphics, so it is appropriate for high school students. I couldn’t stop reading the book because I was curious about what was going to happen. I highly recommend this book to everyone except people who don’t like a book that has a little bit of blood and violence. (Sebin. Grade 8)
