Student Google Accounts

Logging in to your Student Account

Student Usernames are built using the following structure:

Passwords are set to the student's ID or lunch number. Teachers should be able to provide this number to you if you need help.

GOOGLE TOOLS

Google Chrome

Google's Internet Browser

We highly recommend that students use Google Chrome as their primary web browser while using their @baldwin Google Accounts. Logging into Chrome will provide staff and students with the MOST secure internet browsing experience and will also bring your browsing data, bookmarks, and saved passwords with you when you log into any computer in the world.

GMAIL

Your one-stop-shop for all things EMAIL.

GMAIL is one of the most widely used email programs in the world. Students can use this to send messages, links, and schoolwork files to teachers and each other.

Chrome is already available on all district devices.

Google Drive is where students can store all of their digital files needed for school. Our partnership with Google provides students with unlimited storage space! Since it's all stored in the cloud, materials can be accessed from anywhere you can sign into Google.

This means students should almost never need portable flash or other storage drives for school use.

Google Slides is a powerful tool that can be used similarly to Microsoft's PowerPoint. Students can create slideshow presentations, stop-motion animated films, graphic designs, and so much more!

Google Docs is our primary word processing tool. Great for writing stories or reports.

Collaborate with peers or teachers for instantaneous proofreading, brainstorming, or peer editing!

Google Sheets is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to managing sets of data for Math or Science projects.

The learning curve can be quite steep, but once you master spreadsheets like these, the possibilities are endless.
