ENTRY INFORMATION

Entry into Sixth Form is highly competitive and is based on a number of factors which include 

• the quality of your contribution to School Life, 

• your teachers’ assessment of your academic potential

• a good record in attendance, punctuality

• exceptional behavior and demonstration of the attitudes appropriate for our sixth form

• good leadership potential. 

Note that class size is also a limiting factor, and priority will be given to students who have achieved the highest grades and who have exemplary records.

Entry requirement for ALL applicants

    ALL Applicants must:

•  Be under the age of nineteen (19) years on December 31 of the year of entry (2026) to Form 6 and must not have had more than six (6) years of secondary education.

•  Have at least seven passes at CXC CSEC level, with at least five Grade I’s. All passes must have been attained in the most recent CSEC June 2026 sitting with an SBA submitted.

  • • •  January exams will not be considered for admission.

      •  Paper 3 (non-SBA) will not be considered for admission.

• Have Grade I’s in all pre-requisite subjects for the subjects they wish to pursue.

• Have a passing grade in most recent June 2026 CSEC Mathematics and English A.

• Have good records with respect to conduct and deportment, punctuality and regularity, contribution to school life, ability, and work ethic.

Additional application requirements for NON-BAHS Students

ALL Non-BAHS applicants must submit: 

• Two letters of recommendation from the school that the applicant attended for the June 2026 CSEC sitting. At least one letter must be from a subject teacher in the subject(s) applied for at CAPE.  

• A certified (stamped by previous school) copy of the June 2026 CSEC results.

• A copy of applicant’s birth certificate.

•  A passport-sized photo.

Applications without these documents will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered. 

Interviews:
ALL potential transfer students will be interviewed as part of application process.

The subjects offered (below) are arranged by Lines (Rows) and Scholarship Cognate Groups (Columns).

Choose a total of THREE subjects - EACH ONE from A DIFFERENT line.

To satisfy both the requirements of the National Scholarship Cognate groups and our timetable arrangements, applicants are strongly encouraged to select two subjects from one cognate group and the third from either the same or another group, provided that each subject falls on a different line.
