The Badin Blast

A Message From Father Ed Pratt

To My Badin Family…From Your Chaplain, Father Ed Pratt

Please keep me in your prayers as I face surgery on April 13. I will have a colon resection due to issues discovered during a regular colonoscopy. My doctors have told me that they believe the possibility of cancer is very slim, and I have not had any pain, and for that I am profoundly grateful.

I will be hospitalized for up to 5 days and will require home rest and no driving for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Obviously, this will keep me away from Badin through mid-May and I will miss being at many of our Rams Spring sports events, Prom and other special happenings. You know I will be watching online as much as I can and rooting on our Ramily. I look forward to being back in action for Senior Mass, Baccalaureate, Graduation and other year-end activities.

As I recover, all of you will be in my prayers.

Proud to be Badin Chaplain and Ascension Parish’s Pastor,

Father Ed Pratt

Badin's Creative Writing Club has restarted! Under the guidance of interested students, the club has met every other Wednesday after school at 2:35 to 3:30. Dr. O'Hara is the faculty adviser. Students who like to write, play word games, and enjoy the fellowship of other young writers should come to meetings.

Attention Students and Parents: If a student goes to a Dr. Appointment, it is encouraged that they get a Doctor note from that visit and bring it to school to excuse them from the time they missed. Thank you.

Did you know that as a parent you can now print report cards? Simply log in to FACTS and choose the correct student (if you have more than one here) and choose Report Card and then you can print! All grades are right there for you. This comes in very handy for the car insurance discount! You can also make changes if you have any address, email, phone, etc. Just go to your account, log in, and make any changes needed there. IF YOU HAVE AN ATHLETE, you need to also go into Final Forms and make the change there as well.
