Since the Covid-19 pandemic back in 2020, The world has seen a ride of mental health issues and awareness amongst not only children and adolescents, but adults as well.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in the first year of the Covid-19 Pandemic, global prevalence of anxiety and depression had a massive increase by nearly 25%.
That may not seem like a lot, but if we think about the world population is around 8 billion people. 25% of that would be around 2 billion people with mental health struggles, that's a lot of people
With this spike being so large, it has led to a massive wake up call for all countries to step up and provide more mental health services than previously provided.
That includes a multitude of therapies, php (partial hospitalization program), inpatient care, etc...
This shows that certain situations take tolls on people in ways they couldn't possibly imagine, we all need to wake up and make sure the people around us are feeling ok and if they need help, get them the help they need.
