In two weeks, seniors will be leaving Badin for the last time as a student. For some, this is a bittersweet moment. Others are overjoyed. Some are even sad.
Many seniors are attending universities; some are going to trade school. Some will stay in state, others will go far away. They have reached the point where the ‘ramily’ branches out and starts on their own path.
“I feel happy to leave Badin because there are many more opportunities outside of this school. I am also saddened to leave cool people behind,” senior, June Mehan shared.
June plans to go to Ohio University and major in history.
Alexis Duffy had similar things to share.
“I’m happy about it. I’m ready to leave,” she said.
Alexis is planning to go to the University of Cincinnati and major in health science.
Victoria Ngo is also looking forward to leaving Badin.
When asked how she feels she said “great and excited”.
Victoria is planning on attending the University of Cincinnati and is planning on majoring in environmental engineering.
Some teachers also agree. While they do love these kids, they have also spent four years with them and are ready to move on.
“It's about time,” Mrs. Mac said.
Mrs. Mac plans on staying at Badin. Most of her classes are made up of seniors. She is saddened to see them go, but excited to see what they will do in their futures. She is also excited to teach a new ‘batch’ of students.
As we say our goodbyes to the class of ‘23, let’s remember all the positive memories we share with them.
