As this school year wraps up, I have interviewed a graduating senior: Lainey Brossart to fill us in about her feelings/emotions on what is going through her head.
“It's very bittersweet. I’m excited but also scared for this next chapter in my life.” Brossart said
As a junior who will be filling the shoes of the seniors next year, I would have to agree that this is a time of happiness as well as bittersweet. Yes, we will miss all the seniors next year, but as an incoming senior, I am very excited. There is a lot of emotion that goes into the last few weeks, but overall, they are just memories that will last a lifetime.
Looking ahead to senior week, “I’m looking forward to all the senior girls wearing their decorated senior skirts and seeing what college everyone is going to. I am also excited to go to Pohlman lanes and spend time with my classmates.” Brossart said.
During this week, seniors are able to show off their incoming schools by decorating their Badin Uniform skirts and guys can wear their college tops (sweatshirts/shirts).
It is an exciting time and like Lainey said, there are many last bonding opportunities for the seniors.
Lainey said, “I’m going to miss seeing my friends everyday and the underclassmen that I am good friends with.” As someone who is a junior, friends with seniors, it is going to be upsetting for the seniors to go.
Lastly, Lainey was a Badin cheerleader who cheered all 4 years of high school. She is going to the University of Tennessee and she is studying retail and merchandising management.
