For years the rivalry between Homeroom 114 and 109 existed, but with a new teacher leading 109 the rivalry escalated into a prank war.
Mr. Stewart’s Homeroom 109 started the year off with an act of war. They decide to place post it notes after post it notes on top of every table.
“I figured I’d lead into it and get the ball rolling on that. You know, we got to strike first before they came and did anything to our homeroom,” Stewart said.
To those in Mr. William’s Homeroom 114, including Eli Wesner, a sophomore, this prank was personal.
“They covered our entire room with post it notes before we got there in the morning. Before then it had just been a battle of chants. We would occasionally chant our room number and they would always chant theirs back,” Wesner said. “Room 114 always had the louder chant. But now it has moved past the chants and onwards to physical warfare. 109 and 114 are now at war.”
There has yet to be a counterattack against Stewart’s homeroom and they anxiously await a response.
“We are in retaliation mode,” Williams said. “We have a plan in Room 114 for our next phase, but we don’t want them to know what is happening yet.”
The plan may involve something with balloons or cake, but Stewart’s homeroom can’t hear or read about it. It depends on what Homeroom 114 schemes.
“I’m kind of interested to see what the kids can come up with. That’s the fun part, I think, just seeing what their ideas are,” Williams said. “I think it’s fun to see how their minds work and how they can be creative with it.”
Homeroom 114 learned that they can no longer chant for victory and they have to initiate their own pranks. Their plan for attack is coming soon.
“They better watch their backs,” Wesner said.
