Summer is nearing and many people have lots of plans for once school is out.
Students are excited as the school year ends and the fun of summer can begin. Many people go on vacations, play sports, hangout with friends, and enjoy not having to get up early for school every morning.
Sophomore Caroline Boyle said, “I am so excited for summer and to hangout at the pool with my friends. This summer I am going on a service trip to New Jersey and I will be playing lots of tennis.”
Just up the road from Badin there is a swim club, New London Hills, that many Badin students belong to. They have a swim team and offer tennis lessons in the morning. The tennis courts are also open for members during the day to use at their discretion.
Senior June Meehan said, “I am ready for summer. Senior year is over and my work has payed off.”
Senior year is about to be over and many will move on to college or other endeavors. This can be a stressful time as things are changing and they will have new beginnings. Some students are ready to be out for the year as school can be stressful and summer is stress free.
Sophomore Josie Halverson said, “I will be working at Flubs this summer and hanging out with friends. I feel relieved that classes are ending because I have had a very stressful year.”
Flubs is a popular place for Badin students to work. It is a great way to make connections and new friends.
Badin students will be all over doing many fun things this summer from sports to vacations to staying home and working. Summer is a freeing time as students are free from the stress of hard classes and homework.
