Spirit Olympics 2023 is an all out battle to the end and the seniors almost lose. Spirit Olympics is an afternoon that all students, faculty, and staff look forward to. This is a time filled with fun, excitement, and competition.
Although this day is fun and exciting, it takes a lot of work to put on. Most of the organizing is done by Mrs. Keating and student council.
Sophomore Josie Halverson said, “I have been so stressed out. Organizing teams and making sure people have eligibility is extremely hard and taxing.”
It is all worth it in the end and this year was no exception. Tension was running high as all grades fought for first place.
Sophomore Claire Ressler said, “We were cooking. We did so good. We are going to win next year.”
Coming into the games the seniors were in first, freshmen in second, and sophomores and juniors were tied for last. In the end, the seniors beat the sophomores 25 to 24 in an exciting and enthusiastic battle where it was anyone's game to win.
Senior Abby Wagner said, “We won and that’s it there is no changing it.”
The day was exciting and while the sophomore class was upset at the loss they are ready to come back better than ever for Spirit Olympics 2024.
Josie said, “We got this next year. The sophomore class will dominate.”
Spirit week and spirit Olympics have been fun and everyone had a great time. Now we wait till next year for Spirit Olympics 2024.
