The third quarter ended and students were excited for a much needed break. Many students went on vacations, hung out with friends, or had their own adventures at home.
Many students who went on vacation escaped to somewhere warm, or at least they thought it would be warm. Vacation spots ranged from Florida, Tennessee, Arizona, and more. One student went to Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida and was surprised with the cool weather.
Sophomore Andrew Keck said, “It is quite chilly, but it’s a bit warmer in the sun”
The weather was unexpected, but Andrew did not let this stop him from having fun and experiencing new rides such as Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. Andrew has been looking forward to this ride and he was not disappointed.
Andrew said, “GUARDIANS ROCKED. I WAS SO GOOD…We went on it again. It was so much fun.”
Other students had stay-cations making their own fun at home and with friends. Weather on Tuesday was warmer than it had been recently and sophomore Claire Rumpke decided to take advantage of it by going out and playing tennis.
Claire said, “It was like perfect weather to be out playing tennis and I needed the practice. I have not played since the girls tennis season ended. I had a lot of fun.”
Stay-cation or vacation students had a fun, stress free week where they did not have to worry about school, classes, and grades. Whether students traveled or stayed home, Spring Break was a great time away from school to refresh and prepare for the last quarter of the school year.
