Easter is coming up this weekend and many people celebrate differently with many family traditions.
Most everyone knows about Easter and the traditions that come with it such as egg hunts, egg dying, Easter baskets, and more. Many people keep these traditions, but some add a little twist to make it their own. Easter can be stressful going to different parties throughout the day and these traditions keep people entertained and excited for Easters to come.
Andrew Keck said, “When we have an egg hunt with my family some of the eggs have coins or candy, but some have special stars that allow you to pick a special prize from the table.”
This is a simple, yet fun, change to the traditional Easter egg hunt that most people have. You don’t know who will win the prizes and it adds a little more competition to the hunt.”
Zack Kramer said, “I don’t do this anymore, but when I was younger I would go to the Ross Easter egg hunt and I would collect a bunch of Rece’s and Cadbury Eggs. If the egg had a sticker on it you go to the table that the color of the sticker corresponded to and you got a toy.”
This tradition is fun because you get candy and prizes at the same time. The Ross Easter egg hunt also has raffles, games, face painting, and breakfast. This is a fun event for children because everyone wins something at the end of the day.
Kathleen Stratman said, “At Easter my cousins and I paint eggs and have an egg hunt. We all get together and eat Sunday brunch, which usually consists of quiche, cheesy potatoes, and fruit.”
This is a combination of many common Easter traditions but it is special because they make it their own through the food they make and the way they decorate their eggs together on Easter. This is a fun way for everyone to be involved and just come together to celebrate and be grateful for each other.
Traditions don’t have to be big or elaborate, they just have to be special and meaningful to you. They can be whatever you want, not just limited to common ideas or if they are you can make them your own.
