For many seniors, it is hard to stay motivated in class during the second semester because graduation and the end of their high school career is in sight.
To help the seniors, graduates from the class of 2022 shared some of their own advice for the end of the school year.
Ellie Gibbons said, ”I would tell seniors to continue to work hard and also have fun. This is most likely the last time you will see these people so enjoy them and don’t wish high school away too quickly”
We only have four short years together at Badin and time flies, so soak up what you can because you will never have this experience again.
Ellie said, “What kept me motivated was my willpower to do my best in everything I do. Continue to be engaged and build those relationships with your peers and teachers. It’s very important to expand your network and do what makes you happy.”
Everything matters and even though an end is near for seniors you must stay engaged and motivated.
Leo Hoppa said, ”Setting goals for myself was pretty helpful in staying engaged.”
Setting goals, that are academically based, for yourself gives you something to work towards that keeps you focused on school and your work.
It is important to work hard, stay focused, and be engaged in class even though it may not seem important anymore. Setting goals and striving to do your best in school are just two suggestions from graduates on how to stay engaged in school as graduation starts to come into sight.
