Nerf wars have been something Badin has done for many years. For some, Nerf Wars is the highlight of their year. However, the game has not always been there for all.
Many of the faculty and students have always known Nerf Wars, but there has been a time period that Badin went without it.
“There were some incidents where people were in other people's yards; some of the community thought there were actual guns.” Vice Principal Imhoff said.
Because of these incidents, Badin’s nerf wars went vacant for a few years, but it started again in 2016, per student requests.
“People asked but I had to make it clear that it could not be affiliated with Badin High School,” Imhoff said.
Another part of Nerf Wars that has a more notorious effect is the nudity rule, which has been in rule ever since the nerf wars program started up again in 2016.
“It gives people an opportunity to get to their car without being shot,” Imhoff said.
Nerf Wars is fun for everyone, but everyone needs to be careful during this pandemic.
“Make sure you're making good decisions and not to take things too far. It's for fun and it should stay that way.” Imhoff said.
