On October 5, 2020 one of the most exciting events of the year kicked off. This event was Nerf Wars.
Now, a month later, we are down to 4 teams left. Over the next two weeks teams will compete as hard as ever to try and win the championship and the money prize with it.
“We made it to the final four for the second straight year but this year we are going to finish the job,” Mark Holderbach said.
Holderbach is a junior whose team made it to the final four last year as well. They couldn’t make it past the semis last year but are hoping it is different this time around. Holderbach has two eliminations, while Ben Doepker leads the team with four. Another junior team looking to make a big impact is Cameron Wright’s team.
“My team almost fell for a trick but I realized what was happening and called it out and the other team forfeit. We don’t have a strategy for next week yet but it will be a good matchup,” Wright said.
Cameron is a junior whose team has made it a long way. Now, they have a matchup against the defending champs. His team has spread out their eliminations as Wright, Luke Enderle, and Bailey Unger all have one, while Landyn Vidourek leads the team with two.
With the championship looming, teams will be fighting harder then ever to get to the final. These teams have fought extremely hard to get here and are one week away from the final so we will see who comes out on top!
