Every year in February, Badin freshmen, sophomores and juniors learn about new course options and make their schedules for the upcoming school year.
This year, students were excited for new courses being offered, especially in the music and the arts. Many students choose classes that they enjoy and fit their academic needs.
“I chose whichever classes I was interested in. Also, because I'm going to be a senior, I chose some subjects that would benefit me for college, like CCP, AP, and some that I enjoy, like theater,” junior Jillian Palomino said.
Some students faced challenges fitting all their interests and requirements into the schedule.
“Figuring out the last subject was a challenge, because I already found good subjects and I don't want to screw it over with a subject that I don't like,” Palomino said.
Some students anticipate for their schedules to be harder based on the classes they have selected.
“I think next year is going to be a bit more challenging, because it's preparing me for senior year and college,” sophomore Annabelle Payne said.
Other students are anticipating the upcoming year to be easier because of preparation.
“Next year should be easier because it won't be my first time having a college course, so I know what I'm getting myself into,” Palomino said.
Overall, it will definitely be a new and exciting year ahead of all Badin students.
