On Saturday, November 28, the Keatings had their child. A beautiful baby girl, named Quinn Margaret, brought happiness and peace to their family.
The question of who will fill in for Mrs. Keating’s duties as a teacher started running through everyone’s minds. Luckily, The Keatings found Jorden James to fill in as a substitute teacher. Jorden is a student at Miami University who has lived around Hamilton all of her life.
“I went to high school at Hamilton, so I’ve been around this area all of my life,” James said.
Jorden is 22 and has been in college for 4 and a half years. She majored in integrated mathematics and plans on graduating very soon.
“Technically I have finished all of my classes but I graduate on December 11,” James said.
Being a math teacher has been her passion ever since she was a junior in high school, and she is staying on track to become one when she graduates
“My favorite thing about math to teach about is probably algebra 1 and geometry,” James said.
Though she is new, she is sure to do well. Students are excited to have her, and she is excited to be here.
"My favorite part about teaching would be getting to know the kids. I would do it for the relationships,” James said.
