With the 2020 presidential election coming to a close, a new president has been chosen. Everyone has formed opinions about the President Elect Joe Biden, but what about the Vice President Elect, Kamala Harris?
Students at Badin are starting to form their own opinions about Harris. 24 out of 44 students do not like Kamala.
“Kamala Harris's past as California's Attorney General was cloudy and deceptively terrible. She did less than par on prison reform and support third trimester abortions, and abortions that can lead up to the point that the baby is born. A good prosecutor, but by no means a good vice presidential candidate.” Junior Maxwell Kramer said.
However, about 20 out of 44 Badin students do like Kamala and believe she will do great things for our country.
“Kamala is the first woman as well as the first POC vice president of the United States. I believe Kamala Harris is a fantastic pick for the vice president and will do great things in her four years in this position.” Freshman Rebecca Moore.
A few Badin students are on the fence about her, liking some aspects of Kamala and disliking some of them too.
“ Kamala Harris, on the other hand, is very focused on acting professional and getting things done, but she has made morally questionable moves in her criminal justice career.” Sophomore Spencer Blauvelt said.
No matter what happens, we all are one nation built on unity.
“But I will support her though because she is my vice President.” Freshman Greyson Giri said.
