The 2020 election has passed and we have a new President of the United States.

Joe Biden won the election and took office on Wednesday with Vice President Kamala Harris. In his inauguration speech, Biden focused on many things including unity, and bringing the country together.

“Without unity, there is no peace. Only bitterness and fury,” Biden said.

He would also go on to say that we move forward through unity especially in these times of immense historical challenges. He also showed that he would fight for every citizen no matter what.

“I will be a President for all Americans. All Americans. I promise I will fight as hard for those who didn’t support me as those who did,” Biden said.

There were also celebrity guests like Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga who performed at the Capitol for the new President, as well as 22 year-old poet Amanda Gorman who recited a beautiful poem about unity and togetherness. Whether you supported Biden or not, we can all wish good luck to the President for the next four years.
