Every four years, a new president is elected in our country. There is a democratic process that takes a long time and a bunch of advertisements to gain popularity.
In order to run to understand the process and little better, the AP Government class at Badin decided to hold their own elections, and senior Isaac Wesner was chosen to be president.
“There was a tie and in the end, I won,” Wesner said.
As the elected president of this class, Wesner was given tasks. These tasks gave the legislative branch of the class a good idea about how he was as a president.
“I was given a scenario where 13 Chinese spies infiltrated the Department of Defense and gathered information,” Wesner said.
The whole elected government decided on what to do, but only the president was able to make the final decision.
“I decided to have them executed just for fun,” Wesner said.
This choice was not a choice that the legislative branch enjoyed, and they punished him for it,
“The legislative branch didn't like it and claimed it was a violation of the 5th amendment,” Wesner said.
Isaac Wesner got impeached on his second day of office, due to not being a very good president.
“It was in order to teach us how the elections work, and now I know I’m not a good president,” Wesner said.
