Since the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, a lot of changes have been made due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Some of these changes include wearing masks, eating lunch in the PFAC, social distancing, and so much more. In a surveyed response, the majority of Badin students said this year is ten times harder than previous years. This has ruined a lot of peoples year, including junior Gracie Combs'.
“I didn't like not being able to go to games or do a lot of the school events because of COVID-19,” Combs said.
COVID-19 also made it hard to do any of the dances and other activities that the seniors get to do, and senior Elaina Jackson did not like this.
“Absolutely nothing has happened for my senior year and no one cares which is hard,” Jackson said.
Though there have been multiple upsets this year, there have been good things that came from the pandemic. Though Jackson’s senior year got changed because of the pandemic, she likes the addition of class agendas which were made to help students.
“If I miss a day I don't get behind and can make up work super easy cause everything's recorded and posted online,” Jackson said.
Ruby Rosenblum, a sophomore, certainly enjoyed it more than last year.
“What I love most about this year is that we are going a full year of school and I get to see my friends and my favorite teachers,” Rosenblum said.
Although this year hasn’t been the best because of the pandemic, Badin is trying its best to get everything back to normal. Badin has instilled social distancing and made masks mandatory. These are scientifically proven to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Freshmen Patrick Farrell agreed.
“I would honestly change nothing. It has been a good year,” Farrell said.
