Badin’s last days of school are approaching and so are exams.
The exam days are May 25, May 26 and May 27. Many students have expressed their concern about the exams, including freshman Patrick Farrell and freshman Maya Craft.
“This is my first time ever having exams, but I'll probably wait for my teachers to discuss what the exam will be like and create a plan based off of that. Some will be easier to prepare for then others, but I think I'll be fine,” Craft said.
Farrell had another way of studying.
“I cram in as much as I can the night before because cramming is how I remember things. I also have never taken a final before so I am going to study autopilot,” Farrell said.
Though sophomores have never taken a final exam, they still have experience from the midterms they took freshman year. Sophomore Carrie Merhout thinks it’ll be similar.
“I identify my personal weaknesses, and make sure I review those topics. I also make sure to go over all my notes and highlight things I think that may show up in the exam,” Merhout said.
With so many different ways to prepare there’s a curiosity as to how the students think they’ll do.
“I believe I will do pretty well on my exams. Some, like English and engineering, won't be traditional tests which could either play to my benefit or be my downfall. Otherwise, I'm pretty good at standardized testing and some things I don't know I'll end up guessing correctly based on how the test is set up and the knowledge I do know,” Craft said.
Badin students have been preparing for these exams all semester.
“I’m sure I’ll do great,” Merhout said.
